How to activate a free Office 365 subscription ?

How to activate a free Office 365 subscription which came with your computer:

  1. Click on the Office tile in the Start screen.
  2. Then sign in with your Microsoft account. You can create an account if you don’t have one.
  3. Go to Run at the bottom of your screen.

Simply follow the prompts to install Office.

 

How to activate Office 2013 on a different PC:

In case you move Office 2013 to a different PC, you have to activate by phone. The number can be found in the Activation Wizard:

  1. Open any Office application (like Word or Excel), and go to File > Account > Activate Product.
  2. In the Activation Wizard, select I want to activate the software by telephone > Next.
  3. Now select your country/region.
  4. Then call the Product Activation Center phone number mentioned in Step 1.
