On a device running Android 4.0 or above, you want to configure settings for auto-correction of text. The modes can be :

  • No auto-correction
  • Modest auto-correction
  • Aggressive auto-correction
  • Very aggressive auto-correction

This method addresses configuring settings of the default Android keyboard.

Follow these steps:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Go to Language and Input
  3. Under Keyboard and Input methods, touch Google Keyboard.
  4. Touch Text correction
  5. Touch Auto-correction
  6. Select the desired level of auto-correction.
